A Mini The Body Shop Haul

The Body Shop is a brand that I’ve always loved since I was in college. Its strawberry scent Eu de toilette and cranberry scent lotion were my holy grail obsession for so long. The hand creams even made it on my blog the beginning of last year so you could tell how much I adore this brand. The fact that it creates amazing products while staying cruelty-free is a huge plus-plus for me. So, recently, I’ve decided to completely include The Body Shop products into my skincare routine. I’m still experimenting with their products but I can tell already that my skin has never felt so loved and so good until this moment.

It’s my first time to incorporate facial oil into my skincare so, I was a little bit hesitant at first to try The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil but really, I was impressed. Honestly, I thought all facial oils would only make my oily skin worst but this one doesn’t but rather hydrates it. It sits on the skin similar to a mask, sinking in after an hour or two. Also, I love how cool it feels on the skin and the scent is really relaxing.

The Body Shop Tea Tree Night Lotion is hands down a must-have. This product totally reduced all signs of blemishes on my skin faster than any product I’ve tried. And I really like how it comes in a pump rather than a squeezed-in bottle. I think it helps in making sure you’re getting just enough product for the skin, no spills and/or excess.

Including The Body Shop Tea Tree Night Lotion and The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil in my skincare nighttime routine was the best thing I’ve ever done after switching my skincare products. I’ve used a number of products to reduce blemishes on my skin but this is the only brand that changed the game for me. After two months of using these, I saw a huge difference. These products aren’t only suitable for blemished skin but also for oily skin which is something I’ve been looking for.

Next is The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Facial Wash. I scored it for a 30% off when I was on my trip to Thailand. I’ve always wanted to switch up my facial wash because I wasn’t seeing good results anymore and I was really having a bad case of breakouts. So, seeing this on sale was heaven-sent for me. For a huge bottle like this, it really is a good steal already. The gel is really light and a little goes a long way. And it feels like putting on light lotion on the skin. Also, I noticed minimal breakouts, only when I’m having my period but that’s like, one or two dots.

How to use The Body Shop Vitamin E Cream Cleanser is still a huge mystery to me. When I bought it, the saleslady told me that you don’t have to wash it with water but rather wipe it off with a clean cotton pad. The same thing is written on their website but I still feel wary about the whole process. Simply because of the word facial cleanser. It automatically makes me think of using it with water to really use it properly. I did try wiping it off with a clean cotton pad but nothing happened. It feels like a really nice lotion on the skin rather than a cleanser. I do notice that it makes my face so supple like I’m really feeling the Vitamin E sinking into my skin. But really, if you guys know how to use it, help a girl out.

Last on this haul is The Body Shop Elderflower Unperfumed Cooling Eye Gel. I actually I haven’t used this for its purpose. This is an eye gel that you put on tired, puffy eyes. In my case, I’ve only used twice just to see how it feels on my eyes. I was expecting it to feel a little minty but it’s not. It has a watery substance and smells like an alcohol. I’m still pretty excited about how it will benefit my eyes during tired days.

Currently, I’m eyeing their charcoal mask and a little on the fence about their makeup products. But I’m really looking forward to including more amazing products from this brand, hopefully soon.
