What is So Natural Red Peel Tingle Serum? It’s one of the bestselling, powerful wash-off type serum in Korea (which is now in the Philippines!). This product promises to melt dead skin cells and pore-clogging impurities and leave your skin soft, smooth and refines pores.
AHA (improves skin texture), BHA (which prevents breakouts) and Berries (which brightens your skin tone) all of which are key ingredients to give you a healthy, younger looking skin. How great is that?
A week ago I received a parcel from SeoulUnni with *So Natural Red Tingle Serum inside, their bestselling wash-off type serum that I’ve been lucky enough to choose to test and review. I did have a slight fear on how my skin would react especially that I’m just starting to incorporate serum in the routine but more than that, I was actually pretty excited to try it out myself because of all the good things I’ve heard and read about it.
The first thing I noticed is how the packaging reminds me so much of The Ordinary products. It’s simple, clean and you pretty much know what you’re getting. The only thing I don’t like about it is that the language is in Korean so if you’re someone who doesn’t really do much reasearch about a product, you’d get stuck at first. The serum feels a bit like a mixture of water and slime so it’s runny on the skin. It dries out pretty fast and gives off a slight tacky feeling but it’s not actually something that’ll put you off since you’re gonna wash it off anyway. And the smell is really good, not chemically but rather like crushed or juiced berries – totally like it.
I’ve actually been using it for a week now, I know that I have a long way to go in order to get the result that it promised but I can tell you that I’ve noticed that my skin feels supple after every use and a bit glowy too. It’s not surprising though considering it has AHA and BHA in it but the fact that these ingredients are already kicking in on just the first week is really great.
I use it after I thoroughly cleanse my face with with CosRx Good Morning Ph Gel Cleanser, I make sure to pat my face dry before dropping a few product on. I gently massage it on my skin for a good 30-60 seconds, make sure you you’re not pulling on your face but rather pushing, before washing it off. You may notice that it’ll sting a bit, don’t worry, it’s completely natural, it only means that you have dead skin on your face and the product is just slowly breaking it apart. Honestly, I didn’t feel it at first (so yay!) but on my third time, like the day after I wore a heavy make up, I felt a slight tingly sensation on some parts of my face, so, I guess dead skin already built up. And after washing, I just continued with my usual routine.
I’m really looking forward to seeing better results in the future especially in terms of refining pores, minimal breakouts, and better skin texture because these are something that I’ve had issues with for the longest time, and being able to finally find a product that would do so would be amazing. I’ll surely keep you guys posted in a few weeks, maybe in a month of use, and see how the product is treating my skin (hopefully, hopefully, real nice!).
Do I recommend it? At the moment, I can’t tell you just yet. You’ll have to keep an eye out on my next update (wink). And I gotta be honest with you, price-wise, it is a bit pricey, the main reason why I’m not saying you buy it right away, well, not until I’ve fully told you my complete month experience but if you’re someone like me who has full trust in Korean Skincare products then be my guess.
Have you tried any So Natural product?
