Sharing with you another skincare find. This time it’s Taiwan’s no. 1 Cosmeceutical brand – @drwu_skincare.

They were kind enough to send me this set for an honest review last month (I think). I actually wrote a pretty simple one on my Instagram weeks back and I thought it’s best to give you guys a little bit more detail about it but I’ll try to keep it short.

One note though, I went online and made a quick check here and there of the products, and I think (for those familiar with it) you guys may notice that the packaging of these are different. I read that they do that when they change formulas so I’m assuming (based on the packaging of the products I have) that I got the old formula. But hey, as long as it works, I’m good.

Let’s begin!

I start by using the Intensive Hydrating Essence Toner with Hyaluronic Acid to increase skin hydration. It’s lightweight and non-sticky, and deeply penetrates into your skin. I noticed that it was a bit similar, in terms of texture/consistency, to Leegeehaam’s Hyal B5 Toner as it also has that slimy texture. I thought it would put me off at first because I was preparing myself that it might be heavy on the skin or worst, just sit on top of it.

But I was stand corrected! It definitely gave my skin that instant moisture and smoothness.

Next is the Intensive Hydrating Serum with Hyaluronic Acid which I use after cleansing and toner, and usually during night time. I use this to lock in that moisture and leave my skin smooth and glowy. This is perfect for those with dry and sensitive skin. I tried patting this on one of my really sensitive areas one time (there was a sudden redness!), just a soft pat on the skin and I don’t know if it was just with me but it was if it soothed my skin instantly.

Or if you’re a combination or oily then switch it to their Intensive Renewal Serum with Mandelic Acid 18% that’ll help target pore issues, acne/skin scars, terminate white/blackheads and control oil production. Make sure to use this at night, right before toners or after you cleanse. This a lot more perfect on my skin type and issues. Of course one of my main problem is my large pores but as most skin specialists/dermatologists say, there’s no such thing as large pores. I’m still 50/50 ’bout that. Maybe it’s more like highly visible pores???

Anyway, I did notice that oil production lessened. I don’t have problems with being oily, my problem is it being too much to handle. You feel me? There’s a long way to go or months of usage before I can finally say that these products are my holy grail. It usually takes 6 whole months before the products’ benefits kick in or become visible. But the good thing about these products are that you’re already seeing results, they may not be that huge yet but they show. That’s the important thing.

PS. Their range of products are highly suitable for those who have sensitive skin (slightly like me).

The big question is, will I repurchase? I can’t really tell yet. Honestly, these whole set is pretty pricey and not really something I splurge on easily unless a friend recommended it. I guess I’ll leave it to you guys to read the things it did for my skin but if you have the budget and you’re sure that it can target your skin problems then yay!

Get back to me after a few months and check my Instagram for updates. If you see me posting about it again then you know it’s worth the purchase!
