With summer being here, all I can keep on thinking about is going to the beach, wearing that cute bikini I have (since forever) and getting that natural summer glow while sipping a nice cold smoothie with a cute little umbrella on the rim. It may not be as appealing as compared to what you guys have in mind but it sure sounds perfect to me.
Also, summer means more time for our skin to breathe from all the products we use. I mean, do you honestly want to go to the beach, under the sun with a full makeup on? Yeah, I don’t think so, too. Just imagine how sticky the products would feel on your skin.
Though, if you asked me several months ago, I would probably get a little shy as I nod. But now that I am under a good skincare routine with great skincare products that actually works for me, I am more than confident to be totally bare outside. However, I’m not completely throwing the idea of putting a little makeup on out. So, chill, girl. I just found a simpler way to still look good without going full on.
Luckily, I recently received some products from Rucy’s Vanity which is perfect for what I had in mind. I wanted to create a soft, natural summer glow that is perfect to wear on the beach. Which is why this makeup look only consists of three or four products and mostly, waterproofs!
Foundation? Nah. We’ll skip that.
I just put on some Olay day cream or you can use any you like as long as they have SPF. We need all the protection we need. Next, I lightly patted my face with this powder. What’s great about this is that it also has an SPF which doubles (or triples) the protection in our face.
You may use this over the day cream or when you’re just sweating. It all depends on you but always remember, put a little. We’re going for something natural. Not cakey.
This is my favourite product from Rucy’s. I never wore any tints but I made the choice to start now because of the ingredients it has. I mean, green tea and collagen? Heck, yes! Plus, I believe using tints can give you that natural pop on the cheeks.
It is totally pigmented so squeezing it too hard would be a bad idea. It actually felt sticky at first, which I assumed is like the other tints. But after that few seconds, it basically felt like it dissolved onto my lips and cheeks, giving me a natural look. Also, I noticed that it stays on all day but it depends on how much sweat, though.
The third product is waterproof mascara. We want to swim but we still definitely want eyelashes on fleek. I like the wand because it evenly distributes the product and doesn’t make my eyelashes clump together.
With the eyebrows, I decided to groom mine just for this post, so you guys can see how their eyebrow pencil works great for me. The pencil is a retractable one which is a lot better than those pencils that you have to sharpen and is super pigmented.
Anyway, you can skip the eyebrows, just brush them or you can put clear gel so they stay in place. And if you guys aren’t thinking of swimming or can’t swim, you have the freedom to swipe some highlighter on.
And voila! This is the final look. No need for brushes and anyone can do this on their own. It’s simple yet, gives you that glow that screams “I’m summer ready!”
I hope you guys loved this. And would really like to know if you guys have tried or thinking of trying this.
